Hampshire is packed with plenty of fun activities, shopping, and more for all ages this Christmas. Many of these spots are accessible too, so everyone can feel the festive cheer! In our blog today, we've picked out Solent Mobility's TOP 5 picks for a festive accessible day out for all the family. ## **1) Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market**### **9 The Close, Winchester, S023 9LS****Saturday 22nd November - Monday 22nd December 2025** Do you enjoy magical Christmas markets? Hampshire is home to one of Europe's best Christmas markets. Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market is filled with beautiful stalls of crafts, gifts and treats. With over 1,000 years of history to explore, it's the perfect place for some festive shopping. The Cathedral also offers accessibility features for those with reduced mobility: • All areas are wheelchair accessible • Extra ramps placed around the market • Accessible toilets can be located in the Winchester Cathedral Visitor Centre ## **2) Steam Illuminations**### **The Watercress Line, The Railway Station, Alresford, Hampshire, SO24 9JG****Friday 28th November - Saturday 28th December 2025** Next up on our list is Steam Illuminations at The Watercress Line! A dazzling spectacle of colour, music and festive cheer. Step onboard and experience immersive entertainment, enhanced light displays and much more. Prepare for an unforgettable adventure this festive season with The Pantomime Adventures of Peter Pan, with stunning sets and amazing special effects. We recommend visiting Santa in his Toymaker Workshop at Spinnaker Tower! It's the perfect day out for little ones before Santa's big day.
