The Molift Air 200 is the smallest hoist in Etac's Molift Air family, built for the day-to-day hoisting most homes and care settings need. The motor weighs just 8.6kg yet lifts up to 205kg, and it has one of the largest standard lifting ranges available, with a 3-metre lifting strap.
It handles sitting and lying transfers as well as standing and gait training. It runs on the Molift Rail System or a freestanding Molift Duo or Quattro gantry, and can be fitted with In-Rail Charging (IRC), powered propulsion and a room-to-room unit for moving between two rail systems.

Before choosing a ceiling hoist, an occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment will confirm the right safe working load, sling and sling bar for the person being hoisted. We then carry out a site survey to plan the rail layout and check the ceiling or walls can take the load. Installation is carried out by trained engineers.
Ceiling hoists are lifting equipment. We recommend a thorough examination every six months, in line with LOLER (the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), plus any servicing Etac recommends. Every Molift hoist comes with the Molift Service Tool software, and a service indicator shows when a service is due.

What is the safe working load of the Molift Air 200?
205kg. If a higher capacity is needed, the Molift Air 300 (300kg), Air 350 (350kg) and Air 500 (500kg) use the same rail system.
What is In-Rail Charging (IRC)?
IRC charges the hoist through the rail whenever it's parked at the charging point, so it's always ready to use without plugging in the hand control.
Can it move from one room to another?
Yes. With the Molift room-to-room unit, the hoist can transfer between two separate rail systems in adjoining rooms, which avoids cutting through the door frame.
Do I need an assessment before buying a ceiling hoist?
