Product advice
The Molift Air 200 is the standard home care and long-term care ceiling hoist in the Etac Molift range, with a 205kg Safe Working Load in a compact unit measuring 360×190×195mm and weighing just 8.6kg. It offers a 3-metre lifting strap — the longest standard interval on the market — alongside quiet soft-start/soft-stop operation and a quick-release from the trolley without tools.
The Air 200 is capable of sitting, horizontal, standing and gait training transfers, and supports room-to-room transfer without requiring a transition rail. In-Rail Charging (IRC) is available as an option, automatically charging the hoist when parked on the rail. The Molift Service Tool for intelligent diagnostics is supplied as standard.
An occupational therapist assessment is required before selecting a ceiling hoist, to ensure the correct SWL, sling type and rail layout for the individual user. A site survey is also required before installation. All Molift ceiling hoists are lifting equipment under LOLER 1998. In workplace and care home settings, a formal examination by a competent person is required at least every 6 months. In domestic settings, a 12-monthly examination is the minimum. Only Etac-approved engineers should install the Molift Rail System, and the hoist must be serviced by authorised personnel after every 5,000 lifts at Safe Working Load.
