Like the rest of the Molift Air family it handles sitting and lying transfers, standing and gait training, and has a 3-metre lifting strap. It runs on the Molift Rail System or a freestanding Molift Duo or Quattro gantry, with room-to-room transfer possible using the room-to-room unit.

Before choosing a ceiling hoist, an occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment will confirm the right safe working load, sling and sling bar for the person being hoisted. We then carry out a site survey to plan the rail layout and check the ceiling or walls can take the load. Installation is carried out by trained engineers.
Ceiling hoists are lifting equipment. We recommend a thorough examination every six months, in line with LOLER (the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), plus any servicing Etac recommends. Every Molift hoist comes with the Molift Service Tool software, and a service indicator shows when a service is due.

How is the Air 205 different from the Air 200?
Both lift up to 205kg and share the same compact size. The Air 205 runs on a NiMH battery and is offered in four versions built around In-Rail Charging and propulsion; the Air 200 is offered with a lithium or SLA battery. We'll recommend the right one after your assessment.
What does propulsion do?
It drives the hoist along the rail at the press of a button, so the carer doesn't have to push or pull the user along the track. It's especially helpful on longer rail runs.
Do I need an assessment before buying a ceiling hoist?
Yes. An occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment confirms the right hoist, safe working load and sling for the person, and our site survey confirms the rail layout and that the ceiling or walls can take the load. Book your free assessment and we'll talk you through it.
How much does it cost?

How often does the hoist need inspecting?
Hoists are lifting equipment, so we recommend a thorough examination by a competent person every six months, in line with LOLER, along with servicing as Etac recommends. Our servicing team can look after this for you.

If you have a disability or a long-term illness, you may qualify for VAT relief on this product. You complete a simple eligibility declaration and we remove the VAT from your quotation.
