Before choosing a ceiling hoist, an occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment will confirm the right safe working load, sling and sling bar for the person being hoisted. We then carry out a site survey to plan the rail layout and check the ceiling or walls can take the load. Installation is carried out by trained engineers.
Ceiling hoists are lifting equipment. We recommend a thorough examination every six months, in line with LOLER (the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), plus any servicing Etac recommends. Every Molift hoist comes with the Molift Service Tool software, and a service indicator shows when a service is due.

Is the Air 350 bigger or heavier than the Air 200?
No. It's exactly the same size (360 × 190 × 195mm) and weight (8.6kg), but lifts up to 350kg instead of 205kg.
Will a freestanding gantry take the full 350kg?
No. The Molift Duo and Quattro gantries are rated to 300kg, so the system's limit would be 300kg. For the full 350kg, the hoist needs a ceiling rail rated for that load, which we'll confirm at the survey.
Do I need an assessment before buying a ceiling hoist?
Yes. An occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment confirms the right hoist, safe working load and sling for the person, and our site survey confirms the rail layout and that the ceiling or walls can take the load. Book your free assessment and we'll talk you through it.
How much does it cost?
