The Molift Air Tilt pairs a Molift Air ceiling hoist with an electrically tilting sling bar. The carer adjusts the user's height and angle precisely from the hand control, with no physical effort, so one carer can manage demanding transfers and repositioning safely.
It's especially useful for placing someone in an optimal sitting position in a wheelchair. The open sling bar gives the user plenty of space around the head and makes eye contact with the carer easier. Slings attach with clips, and the leg straps can be adjusted to the user's needs.

Before choosing a ceiling hoist, an occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment will confirm the right safe working load, sling and sling bar for the person being hoisted. We then carry out a site survey to plan the rail layout and check the ceiling or walls can take the load. Installation is carried out by trained engineers.
Ceiling hoists are lifting equipment. We recommend a thorough examination every six months, in line with LOLER (the Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998), plus any servicing Etac recommends. Every Molift hoist comes with the Molift Service Tool software, and a service indicator shows when a service is due.

What does the tilting sling bar do?
It tilts electrically, so the carer can change the user's angle as well as their height from the hand control. That makes it much easier to sit someone well back in a wheelchair without manual repositioning.

Clip-attachment slings made for the Air Tilt, such as the Molift High Easy Sling and High Easy Toileting Sling. We'll recommend the right sling and size at your assessment.
Do I need an assessment before buying a ceiling hoist?
