Product advice
The Molift Air Tilt is a unique ceiling hoist featuring an electrically tilting sling bar, allowing the user's position to be adjusted without manual effort from the carer. The tilt function makes it possible to precisely place a user into a wheelchair or other seating from overhead, supporting complex positioning needs that would otherwise be difficult to manage.
The open sling bar design improves carer-to-user eye contact during transfers, and the clip-style sling attachment includes flexible leg strap adjustment. A quick-release sling bar coupling makes sling changes straightforward. The Air Tilt is designed for single-carer operation of transfers that would otherwise require two people.
An occupational therapist assessment is required before selecting a ceiling hoist, to ensure the correct SWL, sling type and rail layout for the individual user. A site survey is also required before installation. All Molift ceiling hoists are lifting equipment under LOLER 1998. In workplace and care home settings, a formal examination by a competent person is required at least every 6 months. In domestic settings, a 12-monthly examination is the minimum. Only Etac-approved engineers should install the Molift Rail System, and the hoist must be serviced by authorised personnel after every 5,000 lifts at Safe Working Load.
