Product advice
The Molift Duo is a two-post freestanding gantry made from lightweight anodised aluminium. It needs no fixings in the ceiling or walls, so it's quick to put up, take down and move to another room. That makes it ideal for temporary needs, hospital discharge, rented homes, or while you wait for a permanent ceiling rail.
Combined with a Molift Air or Molift Nomad hoist and a sling, it covers most overhead lifts: to and from the bed, floor, chair, wheelchair or toilet. The height adjusts to four fixed positions between 225cm and 255cm with a quick-release pin. The hoist charges through its hand control, or through the rail with the optional In-Rail Charging.
This 3500mm version has a 350cm rail and an overall width of 3650mm. The longest Duo, covering the full bed-to-chair area in larger rooms.
The gantry is sized to the room and bed at your assessment, and the hoist and sling are chosen for the person using it. We recommend a LOLER thorough examination every six months.
Buyer questions
Clear answers to the questions customers usually ask before booking a free home demo.
No. It's a fully freestanding two-post gantry, so no fixings or building work are needed.
No. The gantry is used with a Molift Air or Molift Nomad hoist, which is chosen separately to suit the user. We can supply the complete package.
This version needs about 3650mm of width and 1,200mm of depth, plus room to move around it. We measure up at the free assessment and recommend 2000mm, 2500mm, 3000mm or 3500mm to suit the bed and room.
Yes. An occupational therapist or moving and handling assessment confirms the right hoist, safe working load and sling for the person, and our site survey confirms the rail layout and that the ceiling or walls can take the load. Book your free assessment and we'll talk you through it.
Ceiling hoist systems are priced on application, because the total depends on the room layout, rail length, fixings and installation. Book a free assessment or call us on 02392 009999 and we'll give you a clear quotation after the site survey.
Hoists are lifting equipment, so we recommend a thorough examination by a competent person every six months, in line with LOLER, along with servicing as Etac recommends. Our servicing team can look after this for you.
If you have a disability or a long-term illness, you may qualify for VAT relief on this product. You complete a simple eligibility declaration and we remove the VAT from your quotation.
