Product advice
The Molift Nomad is the lightest hoist in the Molift range at just 6.8kg, with a unique curved design and integrated 4-point sling bar. Its special trolley allows it to climb between different rail systems for room-to-room transfers without needing a dedicated transition rail, making it the most portable and flexible option in the range.
Integrated carry handles support true portability, and the Nomad is compatible with the Etac Cart for straightforward storage and transport. An extension arm supports single-carer sling connection and disconnection, and the charger can be wall-mounted, table-based or cart-integrated. Suitable for home care, room-to-room transfers, and any setting where portability is a priority.
An occupational therapist assessment is required before selecting a ceiling hoist, to ensure the correct SWL, sling type and rail layout for the individual user. A site survey is also required before installation. All Molift ceiling hoists are lifting equipment under LOLER 1998. In workplace and care home settings, a formal examination by a competent person is required at least every 6 months. In domestic settings, a 12-monthly examination is the minimum. Only Etac-approved engineers should install the Molift Rail System, and the hoist must be serviced by authorised personnel after every 5,000 lifts at Safe Working Load.
