Key benefits

Why choose Opera Impulse Hybrid Mattress?

Foam and air in one

Layers of foam and air cells create a three-zone surface, with softer foam under the heels.

Step up or step down

Use it as a medium-firm static mattress on its own, or add the pump for active alternating therapy when needs change.

Auto-weighing pump

The optional pump sets the airflow to the user's weight, with a comfort setting to make it firmer.

Support during a power cut

If the power fails, the user is still supported by the foam surface.

Product advice

Is Opera Impulse Hybrid Mattress right for you?

A hybrid foam and air pressure care mattress for very high risk users that works as a static foam mattress, or with its pump for alternating air therapy.

The Impulse Hybrid is designed for people at very high risk of pressure sores, and for families who want a mattress that can adapt as needs change. It supports users up to 250kg.

Because it works with or without the pump, it can start as a static foam mattress and be stepped up to alternating air therapy if a healthcare professional advises it. The foam layer means there is always support underneath, even if the power goes off, which gives carers peace of mind.

Free delivery and set-up. The price includes delivery to your home and set-up by our own team, who will show you how everything works.

Buyer questions

Opera Impulse Hybrid Mattress FAQs before you enquire

Clear answers to the questions customers usually ask before booking a free home demo.

Will the mattress still work without the pump?

Yes. Without the pump it is a medium-firm foam mattress; with the pump it adds alternating air therapy.

What happens in a power cut?

The user remains supported by the foam surface if the power fails.

Will the wipe-clean cover make me hot?

The cover is vapour-permeable, so moisture vapour can pass through instead of being trapped.

What does the pressure risk category mean?

It describes the level of pressure ulcer risk a surface is designed for. The right category depends on the individual, so we always recommend following the advice of a nurse, occupational therapist or other healthcare professional when choosing.

Is delivery and set-up included?

Yes. Delivery and set-up are free: our own team brings it to your home, installs it and shows you how everything works. Call us on 02392 009999 to arrange a time.
