Common questions
Steps & Platforms FAQs
Answers to common questions about steps & platforms.
Who are half-steps suitable for?
Half-steps suit people who can manage steps but find a tall doorstep difficult.
Can steps be added to a ramp?
Yes. Welcome and SRS step kits can be added to a platform so you have both a ramp and steps.
Can I get VAT relief on a ramp?
If you have a disability or long-term illness and the ramp is for your own use, you may be eligible for VAT relief. Our team will explain how to claim it when you order.
Can Solent Mobility Centre install my ramp?
Yes. Our own engineers can survey, deliver and install ramps across Hampshire and the surrounding counties.
