Our story
Our Story
Solent Mobility has been helping people across Hampshire live more independently since 2008. What started as a small, family-run shop in Lee-on-the-Solent has grown into one of the largest mobility showrooms on the South Coast, but our approach has stayed the same: genuine advice, no pressure, and a real interest in getting people the right piece of equipment for their life. Led by Ben Watts, our team has built up well over a decade of hands-on experience with mobility scooters, powerchairs, wheelchairs, stairlifts, beds and daily living aids — recognised in 2018 with both the Customer Service Award and Retailer of the Year at the Portsmouth News Business Excellence Awards. We serve customers throughout Gosport, Fareham, Portsmouth, Southampton and the wider Hampshire area, with in-house engineers for servicing and repairs, and flexible hire options for anyone who only needs equipment for a short while.

Ben Watts leads Solent Mobility's family-run team, drawing on more than 15 years of experience helping customers across Hampshire find the right mobility equipment for their needs.
We stock and support a full range of mobility equipment, including mobility scooters, powerchairs, manual and prescription wheelchairs, stairlifts, rise-and-recline chairs, profiling and adjustable beds, wet room conversions, and daily living aids. Many products are available to hire by the day, week or month, and our in-house engineers offer servicing and repairs to keep your equipment running reliably.
