It can be tough living with dementia, whether you're a carer, family member, or experiencing it first-hand, but getting support shouldn't be.
The Dementia Care Hub is here for you, offering emotional and practical support to families, care partners, and people living with dementia through every step of the journey and beyond. They offer weekly social groups, well-being groups, care planning, and more.
Their mission is to make the lives of people living with dementia and those around them better, aiming to prevent avoidable distress through practical and emotional support that is inclusive and accessible to all.
Last week, Susie and Charlie from our team at Solent Mobility Centre visited Portchester Dementia Care Hub.
They met with the weekly support group run by Angeline, the Centre Manager. They introduced the group to our latest offers while finding out more about the community.
Portchester Dementia Care Hub is a great local support network for those living with dementia in the local area. They meet every Wednesday at Portchester Community Centre between 10:15 am and 12:15 pm.
However, they also offer wellbeing/respite sessions alongside a helpline, long-term care planning, and professional referrals.
If you or someone you know is experiencing life with dementia, The Dementia Care Hub is a great place to find support and make friends who understand.
