Start with an independent OT Report
You don't need to already know what equipment you're after. If you'd simply like a clear, independent view of what would genuinely help, you can book an Ocupa OT Report on its own — no equipment purchase required. An Ocupa Occupational Therapist assesses the person who'll actually be using the equipment day to day, and produces a written report setting out what would help them most. From there, we can talk through the right product — but there's no obligation either way. The report costs £550, applied to your equipment package if you go ahead.

Clinically Prescribed Powerchairs & Wheelchairs
This is where the report makes the biggest difference to the end user's daily life — and it's the area most of our customers come to us for. A powerchair or wheelchair is relied on every day, so getting the right one matters more than almost any other product we supply. Ocupa's report considers the person's whole life, not just a set of measurements, so the chair we end up recommending is genuinely theirs.
Complex clinical needs

Ocupa Occupational Therapy
Ocupa is an independent Occupational Therapy practice based in Fareham, covering Hampshire and the surrounding counties. Founded by Gemma Kenney BSc (Hons) MRCOT, the team brings over 50 years of combined OT experience across NHS, community and independent practice. All Ocupa therapists are HCPC registered, Royal College of Occupational Therapists members, and carry professional indemnity insurance. Assessments can be delivered wherever the end user feels most comfortable, with consistent support from a dedicated therapist throughout.

Do I need a report to buy from you?
No — most customers choose equipment with our advisors' help without a formal OT Report. We'll suggest bringing Ocupa in where needs are more complex, or where an independent report would genuinely help point to the right product.
Can I book an OT Report without buying equipment?
Yes — you can book an Ocupa OT Report on its own, with no obligation to purchase anything afterwards. It costs £550, and if you do go on to buy equipment from us, that cost is deducted from your package.
Can the report help with a charity or Motability application?
Yes — this is one of the most common reasons customers choose this route. An independent OT report is often exactly what funding bodies need, and having one ready usually speeds up the application considerably.
How long does the whole process take?
From your first call to a completed report is typically around two weeks — considerably faster than NHS wheelchair services or charity OT referrals, which can take three to six months.
Is Ocupa's report really independent?
Completely. Ocupa is a separate Occupational Therapy practice, and their report is based on the end user's clinical needs alone — never on what we stock or sell. That's what makes it a genuinely reliable guide to the right product.
Can I get a report for equipment other than a wheelchair?
Yes — Ocupa can produce a report for any equipment we supply, including stairlifts, riser-recliners, profiling beds, hoists and bathing aids. Just ask us and we'll talk through whether it would help in your case.
