The best place to sell a mobility scooter

Why Sell Your Scooter Through a Mobility Specialist?

Selling a mobility scooter privately means photographing it, answering messages, arranging viewings at your home and haggling over the price, often while buyers worry about the battery or whether it has been looked after. Many people simply want the scooter to go to someone who will use it, without the hassle.

When you sell through Solent Mobility Centre, buyers come to a mobility specialist they trust. We check your scooter over, carry out any servicing or new batteries it needs to sell, and offer it to customers from our showroom in Lee-on-the-Solent. You don't have to meet anyone or negotiate, and you stay the owner until the scooter is sold.

Common questions

Selling a Mobility Scooter FAQs

Where can I sell my mobility scooter?

You can sell it privately online, part-exchange it, or let a mobility specialist sell it on your behalf. With our resale service we assess, prepare and sell your scooter for you, so you don't have to deal with buyers yourself.

How much is my used mobility scooter worth?

It depends on the make, model, age, condition and demand. We set the sale price based on these factors after assessing your scooter, and you receive up to 40% of the final sale price.

What costs are deducted?

Costs such as servicing, safety checks, batteries, repairs, delivery or collection are deducted from your 40% share only, never from the full sale price.

Do you accept every scooter?

No. Every scooter is assessed first, and we may decline any that are unsafe, uneconomical to repair, incomplete or unlikely to resell.

When do I get paid?

Payment is made once your scooter has sold and cleared funds have been received.

I'm selling a scooter for a family member. Can you help?

Yes. Many people contact us on behalf of a parent or relative who no longer needs their scooter. Just let us know when you get in touch.
